Ashley Taylor Shares Inspirational Story

Every single day I log into my Facebook or Instagram on she’s already posted something positive, inspiring or motivating to start the day! From the quiet girl who was discouraged at first to becoming one of the most inspiring people at No Limit. 

Since starting in June 2013 she’s been on a mission and is determined to become great, since then she hasnt stopped. From 5:30am workouts to occasional double days, nothing will stop her from reaching her goal!

She not only is on an amazing journey she’s also inspiring and encouraging others to get on their own journey and transform their lives. I’m extremely proud of her and what she’s done, here’s Ashley with a short story to share with you.

After years of struggling through a traumatic childhood experience, low self esteem, and depression, I had reached my heaviest weight ever of 175 pounds. I finally decided that enough was enough and I needed to take my life and happiness into my own hands. This revelation came through constant love and support from my amazing mother. September of 2013 I tried my very first spin class and I loved it. I started taking spin classes four times a week and a cardio kickboxing class. By May 2013 , I had lost 10 pounds and was feeling great. At this point I was motivated by the fitness but knew I needed more. 
 
At the end of May, my amazing friend Alyssa Wyley invited me to go with her to try out her bootcamp since she knew that I was looking for something more and I had been committed to my fitness. During my week trial at No Limit Bootcamp, I became hooked and I knew it was where I needed to be. It wasn’t just the intense workouts that drew me in, it was the people there. Every time I walked into the gym, someone remembered my name and they would say Hello and ask me how I was feeling. Not once was I pressured into becoming a member or purchasing something. Never once have I felt judged by the team or any of the clients. Everyone there truly wants to see others succeed.

My biggest struggle was my mind. Getting over who I mentally thought I was and who I thought I could never be was a challenge. I would be running and in my head I would be calling myself fat, putting myself down. It wasn’t until I started to see results that I noticed I stopped talking myself down in my head. When I let go and let the results into my mind, I became confident in myself. When I stopped talking mentally to myself, I became physically stronger. I was able to perform full pushups, running for a longer period of time, and performing workouts in Bootcamp continuously as opposed to stopping before the time was up. I let the strong, confident me come out. 
 
Since becoming a client, I have lost 35 pounds total, completed 20 full push-ups, participated in two 10ks, four 5ks, and most importantly I have learned to truly love myself. I have learned a lot about nutrition and began a meal plan to drastically change the way I eat.  I feel so strong, empowered, and excited for what my future holds. I will forever be grateful to Alyssa, Sako, Bri, Nareg, Randy, Alan, and Richard. All of you have impacted my life in a way that you will never truly understand. I love you, myself (finally) and my 530am crew!

If I could tell someone who is just starting their weight loss journey one thing, it would be to never give up and always believe in yourself. It will take time. You didn’t gain weight over night and you will not lose it over night. Praise yourself for the small successes and little changes that you see in yourself. Change the negative talk in your mind to “it will happen.” If you truly believe that, then it will happen. Struggle and emerge.

For the future, I just want to continue lowering my body fat percentage and focus on toning overall. I want to run a half marathon, complete a triathlon, and set and accomplish new goals. Again, I’m so excited for what the future holds for me now. No Limit truly has changed my life.
