Hi my name is Sarah Fry. I’ve been training at No Limit for the last 3 years and doing personal training for about 3 months. I was always an extremely motivated athlete who never felt the need to hire a trainer. I decided I needed that extra one on one motivation and support to get me back into shape. Alex is my trainer and she is really friendly, knowledgeable and tough (but encouraging)! I’ve trained with Alan too, and he’s equally awesome!
Before life at No Limit I was lost, I would go to 24 hour fitness, boot camps and other fitness programs. I felt out of place, nothing I was doing was working and I didn’t understand why. I wasn’t getting the results I was seeking. It made me feel to a point, why do I even work out? Why do I even try or go to the gym? I wasn’t motivated.
I finally decided to look around for a new challenging workout, when I woke up one morning, before work, I put on my favorite pair of jeans and they were so tight I couldn’t even button them. I looked in the mirror and thought what am I doing to myself/my body. It wasn’t just about my clothes fitting, it was also my about my work, I work at a salon making people look and feel beautiful, but how could I work on making people beautiful when I didn’t even think I feel beautiful? That’s when I know things needed to change.
One day I was looking on Groupon and saw a few gyms, something pulled me into the No Limit ad. I thought to myself, why not what is it going to hurt, the worst that’s going to happen is that I won’t like it. My first day I walked in, everyone was so friendly and nice almost like a family, showing me around introducing me to all the trainers and staff. Then when the time came we started are work out, I can’t believe how helpful and motivating the trainers are. Unlike the other gyms I’ve been to, they were all so helpful, if I wasn’t doing something right they would kindly come up and show me the correct way. I thought wow this what I need!
As a result, I have lost almost 8 inches off my entire body and lost 13 lbs of fat since starting with my trainer months ago! I overcame a lot of struggles for example, eating. My eating habits were horrible. I ate all kinds of junk food from donuts in the morning to cookies for my snacks and after my dinner always a bowl of ice cream. I was informed on no matter how hard you work, nutrition was the most important. I didn’t know how to eat “right”. Since working with No Limit and my trainer, they taught me how to eat and I saw only after a few weeks I looked so much better. I wasn’t as bloated; I was seeing changes in my body I haven’t seen before. I was gaining muscle I didn’t even know existed. I live my life in a happier light. When other people noticed my hard work I felt even better and wanted to work even harder each and every day.
If you have ever thought about trying to work out or trying to eat well, I would suggest starting off with a boot camp or someone that is very supportive, that would work with you and help you get to your goal/goals. You have to want it yourself; no one else can want it for you. I hope my story will help others gain the drive to work out and start living a healthy lifestyle like I am learning to do!
