Well, I was never a real fitness person. I would work out here and there but was never really consistent with my workout routines.
Six years ago I was diagnosed with Papillary Carcinoma of the Thyroid, in other words I had thyroid cancer. Within a few months of being diagnosed I underwent a thyroidectomy and had radiation treatments. After all my treatments were completed I started putting on weight, a side effect of not having a thyroid. My body’s metabolism system did not function like a normal healthy person’s would. Once I was cleared to workout I started going to the gym and started “eating healthy” or so what I thought eating healthy meant, but I was not seeing any changes.
Going to the gym was getting boring because I was not sure what type of workouts to do at the gym. I would always use the machines I felt most comfortable with. A few years passed and I was just not happy not seeing any results. I felt like I was doing everything right, eating healthy and working out. I needed something to help me get on track but I was just too intimidated to attend a workout class on my own.
A friend of mine saw a Groupon deal for No Limit and convinced me to buy it and try out their boot camp classes with her. I won’t lie, the first few days were the hardest. I felt so out of shape but I was determined to attend all 30 days of my Groupon deal because I did not want my money to go to waste. While attending the 30 days I was seeing results. I felt like I was getting in shape. I was feeling great. I no longer felt intimated. I felt so comfortable at No Limit. Everyone at No Limit is so nice and helpful, everyone treats each other as a family and I loved it.
Once I completed my 30 day Groupon deal, without hesitation I signed up for a year of boot camp. I was eager to see how much more I could do. I started getting stronger and started to build up my cardio. Thanks to No Limit I became a runner, something I never in my life would have thought I could do. Their boot camp classes got me in such great shape that I felt I could achieve more and more.
I picked up running 5K’s, 10K’s, half marathons, and now full marathons. No Limit has taught me how to exercise properly and how to actually eat healthy. A year and a half passed by after my initial signing up for No Limit and I wanted to be pushed even more. I wanted to see what my limits were so I joined their Personal Training side. Personal Training has become a huge part of my life. Alan, my trainer has taught me a lot about fitness and clean eating. After doing personal training for about a year and half now, I have learned that I have “No Limit”.
I am only getting better each day. For about 3 years now, No Limit has become my second family, and I can say I am actually in the best shape of my life. I have learned that no matter what your fitness or health levels are anything is possible if you are determined and give it your all.
