Before No Limit my workout routine was steady. I have been going to the gym and working out on a regular basis. I’ve also had a couple of personal trainers but continued to see little to no results. Family and friends told me I looked fine, but I wanted to look more than just fine. I knew this was not how I wanted to look and feel for the rest of my life.
In December of 1997 I discovered the magazine Oxygen. No, not Oprahs Oxygen, Oxygen fitness magazine! It was the cover of the premiere issue that got my attention. I finally saw what I wanted to look like. Not skinny but toned with feminine muscle. Through the years I learned I was not going to get there on my own, I needed some help. I had hired trainers, took classes and worked out on a regular basis but was still not getting there. I knew I had to find a place to workout with other like-minded people. People who were not just going to the gym to maintain but people who wanted results and progress like me.

When i first came to No Limits I entered a welcoming atmosphere not only from the trainers but the clients as well. I also took note of the girls, these girls had nice sculpted shoulders and arms. I thought, could I be in the right place?
I was introduced to Richard and explained to him my goal of competing in a bikini competition. We set up a schedule to come in twice a week. I looked forward to my sessions and soon started seeing results, results I had not seen from anywhere else.
My lifestyle till now had included alcohol and going out to eat on a regular basis. I had to learn how to say “No Thank You”. At first it was hard but as time went on it just became habit. I grew very proud when I would say “no thank you” to something that I should not be having. I was proud because I knew I was making the right decision and not giving in to what everyone else was doing.

My results have been amazing. I have lost over half of my body fat, lost 15 pounds and gained 3 pounds of muscle. I recently competed in my first figure competition. It was amazing, all the effort was worth it. I will carry the many lessons I have learned for a long time to come. I hope to continue and grow on this journey that No Limits has started for me.
