I am a 53 yr. old mom and retired Dental Hygienist. I’ve belonged to a gym for over 25 years and always loved to work out. A few yrs. ago, I developed Carpel Tunnel Syndrome which meant I had to retire from my profession and have 4 surgeries on my wrists and elbows. At the time, I belonged to another “Chain Gym” and I continued to work out as best I could. I had a trainer at this gym, Alex Meza who worked with me and around my injuries. I trained with Alex at this gym for over two years and kept in shape considering all the surgeries I had. When my trainer moved to No Limit soon after and I knew I wanted to follow him. I’ve been at No limit now for about 6 months and I have seen a drastic change.
Alex has been so creative in my daily workouts where no two days are the same and I never know what to expect. The variety in workouts is amazing because the trainers here are so knowledgeable and your body never gets used to the machines like at the “Chain Gyms”. My first day at No Limit, I was intimidated because it looked so different to me. Different equipment and things I’d never seen. My first impression was how friendly everyone was to me. All the trainers asked me what my name was and welcomed me. They have all remembered my name ever since and give me a high 5 every morning. It’s truly so different and friendly compared to my old gym.
My trainer has been my motivator in my life. He keeps me accountable when life gets crazy and I don’t want to go to the gym. He compliments me when I do well and he understands when I have set backs and works to get me back on track. He has taught me that my lifestyle choices matter as much as my workouts. People ask me why I have paid for a trainer for so long and say I should know it all by now but the truth is…I learn new exercises all the time and I need Alex’s voice behind me motivating me when I don’t want to be there. I always feel so good when I leave No Limit.
“I have lost almost 20 lbs and gone up in the weights I lift in every category”
Since I’ve been at No Limit, in 6 months, I have lost almost 20 lbs, and gone up in the weights I lift in every category. When I first started, I couldn’t do many push ups at all. I can now do 3 sets of 10 in every position. I have increased my wight in curls by 20 lbs and can even surprise Alex sometimes with my progress. Alex pushes me and spots me when I’m reaching a new goal, all the while, encouraging me. He makes me want to succeed. He even lets me give him shit but never complains. He is the reason I have stayed so motivated thru some difficult times. He has also become a great friend and thats the way No Limit Gym is. It’s just like a family. I am truly grateful for Alex and No Limit. I would tell anyone who is serious about making a life change that it is worth every cent and it will make you a happy, healthy, Lean mean, fighting machine!!!
