“I dreaded going to the gym because it was the same thing over and over.”

Before No limit, I had to come up with a workout routine for myself. I would try to find workouts online and it just became repetitive and uninspired. I dreaded going to the gym because it was the same thing over and over. I wasted a lot of time waiting for equipment and machines to be open. It became very boring very quickly.

Before No Limit, my goal was to put on muscle mass and build up my strength. I did this by doing heavy lifting 4-5 times a week in order to “bulk”. I used online workout plans and my own trial and error method. I did not have a strict diet or eating regimen; I would eat whatever I wanted and a lot of it in order to put on weight. I was able to put on muscle mass and weight very quickly but I also gained fat. My workout routine worked for putting on muscle however, it also took a huge toll on my body because I did not stretch or do a proper warm-up or cool down. I just wanted to get in the gym and get out.

“I wanted to start leaning out and losing the fat I had put on while bulking, however, I was unable to do so on my own. “

I soon became unable to do the activities I loved like playing soccer and basketball because of the discomfort I felt in my lower back. I had to see a chiropractor once a week for 2 months just to get my mobility back. I wanted to start leaning out and losing the fat I had put on while bulking, however, I was unable to do so on my own.

My sister started a 2-week trial at No-Limit and told me how much she loved the boot camp program. I decided to give the 2-week trial a try because I wasn’t losing weight on my own. I saw how much my sister enjoyed going to No Limit so, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.

My first week of classes were both challenging and fun. I could tell right away the No Limit trainers were knowledgeable and the group training was fun. The classes accounted for differences in ability and allowed me to push myself to work harder even within the first week.

“The atmosphere is what I enjoy most about No Limit.”

The atmosphere is what I enjoy most about No Limit. Working out in a group setting is motivating and makes working out actually fun. The trainers care about each client and make classes different and challenging so it never gets dull. I enjoy that there are no gimmicks, it’s simply just show up and work hard. I really enjoy learning new exercises and creative ways to work on muscle groups I never used to focus on.

My main motivators were putting on significant weight in a short amount of time, my body felt as though it was falling apart. I wasn’t able to run and play my favorite sports because after 2 minutes I would need to take a break just to stretch. Also, ripping three pairs of my pants was a sign I couldn’t ignore. Even though I felt strong and had been working out almost every day, I needed to try something new to feel healthier and cut weight.

“The biggest challenge in my fitness journey was having the motivation to show up to the gym.”

The biggest challenge in my fitness journey was having the motivation to show up to the gym. Going to the gym was the last thing I would want to do after a full day’s work and commuting to and from Los Angeles. I usually dreaded going to the gym and would force myself. Now, I look forward to going to No Limit and plan my day around the classes because it’s no longer a chore to show up.

I manage to stay on track and show up to boot camp 5-6 times a week because I genuinely enjoy working out at No Limit. I joined No Limit with my girlfriend and we motivate each other to show up and even have friendly competitions during classes.

“Since joining No Limit, I have lost 30 pounds without losing my strength.”

Since joining No Limit, I have lost 30 pounds without losing my strength. I feel great and am in the same shape as I was when playing collegiate soccer. I just feel healthier and have more energy and endurance.

Besides losing 30 pounds, I’m proud of my commitment to consistently attending classes and that every class I really push myself to do better than the day before.

If I can give someone any advice… just do it, get up and do it.
